Situated within a few minutes drive from the M60 Manchester Orbital Motorway are two handknitting and needlecraft shops - one urban, one rural - owned and run by a small team who have a simple business philosophy :-

Our product range can be divided into three distinct sections:-

Handknitting:
As Cheshire and Greater Manchester's leading independent handknitting yarn retailer we carry a huge selection of quality handknit yarns, single patterns and pattern books, knitting needles and accessories.
14 leading brands are currently on our shelves, with thicknesses ranging from 2ply to Mega Chunky. Sirdar, Rowan & RYC are comprehensively stocked, enhanced by selected qualities from Debbie Bliss, Noro, Wendy, Adriafil, Lanartus, Patons and more.
A knitting-up service is offered for the customer short of either time or skill.
We do not produce a catalogue as colours stocked are constantly changing but are happy to send out copies of our retail price list which shows all yarns currently in stock.
Mending Haberdashery:
Needles and thread, buttons and zips, patches and motifs, elastic and press studs - the list is endless.
Needlecraft:

Tapestry:
Anchor and Paterna tapestry wool; loose canvasses; kits from Anchor, DMC, Primavera, Cleopatra's Needle and others
Embroidery:
Kits from Bothy Threads, DMC, Anchor to name but a few

X-stitch:
Anchor and DMC stranded cotton; fabric from DMC, Permin and Zweigart; kits from DMC, Anchor, Lanarte, Heritage, Craft Collection, Decorative Textiles and Daisy Designs just scratches the surface
Accessories:
Beads, needles, card blanks, hoops and frames, daylight lamps and bulbs, metallic threads, embroidery scissors, gift ideas and much more.
We do not produce a catalogue as our stock is regularly changing but as a DMC Main Agent and Anchor Needlecraft Specialist we have immediate access to all items in their respective catalogues.

Our opening hours are 9.00-5.30 Monday to Saturday. Please visit, phone or e-mail us. If we have what you are looking for, we will happily send it. If we haven't, we'll tell you honestly whether or not we can get it, and how long it will take.
